I am looking for some programming advice. I have run SS in the past and have some lifting experience. I also train jiu jitsu 3 times a week and do one boxing class a week.
These classes usually run on a monday, wednesday, friday schedule. So on my off days i would love to work on some barbell training to get stronger and build some muscle.
I realize there is a potential for over training so that is why I would appreciate any advice on how I should incorporate lifting, how many days a week, reps, sets etc…
This probably has more lifting in it than you have time for, but I think picking a template that is more or less in line with that you want to do, then adapting it to fit your time is probably the right move.
I am going back on the beginner template for now as i have had to reduce my BJJ time as we just had a our second child and my son is 2. So busy days for sure!
I am going to do all 3 phases of the beginner template and see how it goes.
