Question about PB3

Hi, quick clarification about one of the training prescriptions in PB3. I’m not clear about whether or not to focus more on total reps vs per set RPE for the “downsets”.

For an example, week 7 Paused Squats are programmed as “6 reps @ RPE 7, keep weight the same and do another 10 reps. Adjust reps per set to maintain RPE 7 for each set.”

What would be a better approach for the sets after the first one: two sets of 6@7, or two sets of 5@6?

Ideally each set is RPE 7. I wouldn’t pick either of the options presented, but rather would do 6 rep @ RPE 7 (if I could repeat this) and then 4 reps @ whatever RPE it ends up being. Shoot for hitting RPE 7 each set first and foremost unless it’s a partial set based on the rep presctiption.
