Is the intention still to try and take a day off between each workout? I figured the amount on each workout was a little less allowing for back to back days but I should have asked. I bought the 4 day template because I just like lifting more often, but I assumed I could do MTRF as training days. Is this sub-optimal or does it not matter as much as the fatigue factor is lower? If so are you able to recommend a modification to make this into 3 days? Should have thought through before I chose this template.
Otherwise I’m super excited about it. Looks like a great program. Just finished day 1.
Glad you’re excited! We suggest something like M/Tu/Th/Fr for your 4 lifting days.

I have found the first 2 days of this program (days with competition lifts) to be more taxing than the last 2 days (variations on comp. lifts). Any issues with M/W/F/S instead?
You can do that. I’d argue that if you keep up with the M/T/Th/F schedule, you will adapt, but your plan is fine too if that works for you. In addition to keeping my weekend free, I also prefer to have the two days off lifting prior to doing my comp lifts again. (rather than 1 in your plan).

In my experience, fatigue management is also a little easier with the M/Tu/Th/F schedule. Those 2 days off in a row give you 72 hrs of recovery, which helps if fatigue is getting high towards the end of the training week. With 48 hours max between sessions, I’ve found that it’s slightly harder to manage fatigue.
