Returning to training after inguinal hernia repair

I’m 3 weeks into my recovery after an inguinal hernia repair and the surgeon said I can start training again after 6 weeks but with a vague stipulation to take it slow and work my way up in weight.

I plan on using the beginner template and I was wondering if I should modify the RPE for the first couple of weeks or do you think the program as written would be OK.

This is made up, but I’d probably bump the RPEs down a point and, for the movements programmed for sets of 4, double it to sets of 8 for the first few weeks.
