In Practical Programming, Mark writes that it’s a big mistake to replace his rx programming of Power Cleans with Pendlay Rows.
My question is this: I’m lifting for Hypertrophy…I don’t intend to compete in any meets, and I’m not training for a sport.
I’m a 46 year old male intermediate lifter who just wants to get more jacked and stay that way for a very long time. FYI, I’m running your GPP Hypertrophy program now (@week 3) and intend to go on the 12 week strength program after that.
Bottom line: Should I care about Power Cleans at all given my goals?
