Hey Coaches
Back in the day I switched to Weightlifting from a PL/General Strength focus, because I found the basic grind of training to be eye-wateringly boring. Weightlifting wasn’t boring, even the light weights felt exciting. However, due to never ending issues with what I was told was “Intersection Syndrome” (common in weightlifters and rowers, basically manifested pretty severe pain in what I can only describe as the radius bone itself), I eventually quit the classical lifts. I could put up with and manage the pain up to a point, but after dealing with it for something like a year, I eventually just got fed up with it.
Since then, I’ve been trying to figure out a way to make training fun again for me. I don’t compete, so that doesn’t motivate me. Numbers I only care about up to a certain point, and women don’t start crying when they look at me so I figure I don’t look all that awful either, so appearance isn’t really a motivator for me either. Basic health is a motivator, but that’s not enough to get me back to my super consistent training.
But I still care about strength, and recently, Strongman has really taken my interest. I’m lucky enough to train in a gym with a really good amount of strongman equipment (yokes, farmers handles, stones and platforms for said stones, logs, axels etc. We even have a circus dumbbell!).
So to cut my rambling off, are there any plans for Strongman-type programming, maybe in the form of a template? I’ve really come to trust BBM as a source of programming and training information, and I know Alan does strawngmang stuff, so I figured there may have been talks about this at some point?
