Template advice around baby and work

Hey guys,

I’ve run SS and the beginner template in the past and had some success. Currently re-starting powerbuilding 1, 2 day version after a break (had a new baby at the end of Jan).

My question is whether this is the best of the templates for my goals and circumstances - would appreciate the advice of those more knowledgeable and experienced than myself.

About me:
35y M, 89kg, 5’11’'. SOme 1RMs from late last year: 131.5kg squat, 91.5kg bench, 151.5kg deadlift.
Time available: Can train Mon, Tue, Thur, Fri over lunch break. (About 1 hour, maybe a bit more). Can’t do mornings or evenings as needed for childcare (3 yr old + 3 month old).
Goals: Primarily strength plus general health - want to crack that 1000lb club someday before then reassessing.

So, my question: Am I best using the current 2 day split and using the other 2 days for GPP? Or would a 3 day split be better sacrificing some GPP? If the latter, would Strength 1 be best and how to handle having to train consecutive days?

I probably wouldn’t sacrifice the GPP, particularly the conditioning. Rather, the 2 day version of PB would be fine for your goals and current training status IMO. I think the additional hypertrophy work in powerbuilding 1 would be good for you as well!
