I’m seeing some programming descriptions that say “Do Ascending Sets” like in this image:
I’m a bit confused about what that means. Do I only perform the three sets shown (6 reps at RPE 6, then 6 reps at RPE 7, then 6 reps at RPE 8), or should I add extra sets after these? Also, is “ascending sets” just a way of saying that I should progressively add weight between sets to reach the target RPEs, and if yes does it mean adding extra sets in-between or just the 3 sets being prescribed?
