The Bridge 1.0 vs The Bridge 2.0

Hey guys,

I noticed that you have a Bridge 2.0 template for sale currently. Is this meant to be used after running the Bridge 1.0 first, or is this a different routine altogether that can be used instead of the Bridge 1.0? I’m just trying to understand from a training sequence standpoint how these two programs are meant to be used.

Thanks.

You could use it for both. It’s got different rep schemes, accessory exercises, and I used some feedback I received from others to make it better :slight_smile:

Hi, I notice some different rep ranges in the bridge v2.0, but I am not sure I understand it correctly

4 reps @ 7, 4 reps @ 8, 4 reps @ 9 x 3 sets*

After each RPE 9 set, I should take 3-5% weight off the bar and rest 3-4 mins to keep it @9

3 @ 7, 3 @ 8, 3 @ 9. Repeat 3 @ 9 x 2 sets

After first RPE 9 set, with/without dropping some weight, I should do sets across @9, just rest longer?

8 @ 7, 8 @ 8. Repeat 8 @ 8 x 3 more sets

I should use same weight do at least 4 sets at @8 until RPE reaches 9?

Thanks in advance:)

Gotcha.

Question about 2.0: one of the bench supplemental lifts is the floor press, would close grip bench press or pin bench above chest be acceptable substitutes? I use a Globo gym on some days and doing floor presses there could be an issue due to the equipment they have available.

Thanks!

  1. if you can keep the weight the same for 1-2 sets @9, do that. And if you need to take a bit off, you do that, yes. This applies to the first two above.
  2. No, you will keep the weight the same for sets across at RPE 8, and do that for the prescribed 4 sets total.

I’ve done floor press at plenty of Globo gyms, and it sounds like you might be able to do it, so I’d keep it that way.

ooh, thats what it means. I’ve done it all wrong:o

So, in the bridge v1.0, they would’ve been written as

4 reps @ 7, 4 reps @ 8, 4 reps @ 9 x 3 sets* -----> 4@7, 4@8, 4@9x3

3 @ 7, 3 @ 8, 3 @ 9. Repeat 3 @ 9 x 2 sets -----> 3@7, 3@8, 3@9x3

8 @ 7, 8 @ 8. Repeat 8 @ 8 x 3 more sets -----> 8@7, 8@8x4

Thanks!
