Hello all. Me and a fellow BBM follower on the facebook page(Andrew Spangler) built this spread sheet for the bridge. Feel free to use it at will and/or mod it to fit a different program if you have the know how. Just be sure to save 2 copies, 1 for a master and 1 for edits.
I would like to note that like any tool, this one can be misused. Please be sure you read the bridge, realize the estimated calculated numbers are rough estimates designed to only show trends, and that RPE should rule how this is used rather than being tied into autocalculated estimates.
If you find yourself being ruled by the estimates, you can simply delete the autocalculated estimate formulas and not be distracted by them.
I was looking for something like this spreadsheet, so thank you.
I do have one question though - your description here and the instructions in the spreadsheet make it sound as though each week is supposed to autocalculate some suggested weights. That’s not happening. Did a formula in the GoogleDoc get replaced with a hardcoded 0 for the first set of each lift? I think so, because if I replace that 0, then every other set for that lift autocalculates an incresed weight and the plate math fields get filled in too.
Nope that’s how it is intended. It auto calculates off your first set. It is up to you to determine what that is. Really no way to calculate that for you as it will change week to week and may not be based of your e1RM…
Hey I just downloaded the spreadsheet and it looks great! My only issue was that I could not input any numbers because it is in “View Only” mode. Am i missing something (and I very well could be because I am terrible with this kind of stuff) or do i just need to request editing access from you? Thanks!
Is it possible, to have the spreadsheet autopopulate the working loads, based off a formula for 1rpm and RPE? I’m not smart enough to formula it out; I understand the 1st set isn’t calculated; I’d like it to be, so I can play with the numbers and find my true RPE’s.
