Is the bridge a good start for someone who wants to build muscle and actually look like they lift or am I better of starting with the bodybuilding / hypertrophy templates?
I’ve been going to the gym for a few years but don’t really look like I lift and don’t really have strong lifts for my body weight. (Trying to fix this by taking training more seriously and eating well)
I would probably advise someone to start with our Beginner Template to get a better base of training and to get an inkling for what they like, what works, etc.
Thanks Jordan, I am actually on week 4 of the Beginner Template, I should’ve mentioned that in the original post… I just meant after that is the Bridge good for buidling muscle or should I do bodybuidling / hypertrophy?
Ideally the second two phases of the Beginner Template give you a bit more insight into what you prefer and respond to. If you’re on the Beginner Prescription, the free 4-week template on our site, I think the Beginner Template would be your best bet.
I would not advise running the Bridge afterwards, as it’s more setup for people coming into BBM-style programming who have little experience with RPE, exercise and rep scheme variety, and conditioning.
After the Beginner Template’s 3rd phase, I’d probably do Powerbuilding I or Hypertrophy I if I were you.
