I have been lifting weights hard using good form for the past 4 months, but my mid spine is stiff. I only think two lifts could have caused the problem bench press or squat. When I bring the dumbbells back on bench press, sometimes i hear a crack in my spine just a pop of air Squatting I contract my upper back really hard to create a shelf for the bar. This could be aggravating my back. I feel a bit uncomfortable lying in bed. My spine burns a bit. I am not sure what could be the problem since I focus on form so much. I do tend to slouch too much while sitting. Also, I have sneezed this past summer while lifting weights and recently sneezed and my mid-back popped. The symptoms have been strongest the past couple of days. I feel some tingling and like aching/burning while lying in bed. Hot water on it makes it feel better as well as being upright and moving. Lying down in bed and sitting with poorly makes it feel worse. I have also done cat cow stretches stupidly which I think aggravated it.I do not want this to develop into something big as I have had injuries before. I think this is definitely fixable. Thx for help.
Sorry, can you clarify what the issue is here? It seems like it may be pain in the thoracic spine, but it’s not when you load it during exercise and responds well to moving to a different position, yes? What program are you running right now?
