Training after Shoulder subluxation

I had a shoulder subluxation while skiing yesterday (hit and run from a gigantic snowboarder) and I woke up today with lots of pain in my neck and shoulders. Can barely lift my arm or move my neck

I’ve been making amazing progress on the Powerlifting 2 template and am very familiar with the BBM approach to gym related injuries. Should I follow the same protocol for this traumatic injury ie. find an entry point for the upper body lifts (load/ROM etc) and gradually progress? Or could there potentially be some tear that I need to see a doctor for?

BL,

Sorry to hear about this. Hope you’re feeling a bit better today.

Regarding your shoulder, I don’t feel comfortable making recommendations without some sort of exam and confirmed diagnosis. With this level of pain and discomfort, I think seeing a medical professional is likely to do a bit more than what I can provide over a forum.

After an exam and making sure rehab can be started without undue risk, I’d definitely plan on exercising, with the upper body training ideally being managed by professional like a PT (in person or remote) and the lower body stuff being modified based on what you can do.
