Training for 20-30 lb weight loss

Hey Jordan and Austin,

I am a 20 yo male and I have been training consistently for a bit more than two years now. I started on SS and switched to your templates about a year ago, after burning out a bit on „Old-man-TM“.

Current numbers: 460 lb DL, 420 lb squat, 180 lb press and 265 bench. I weigh 220 lb with a ~41 inch waist.

In the past few months I have run the hypertrophy and conditioning template. Now I am running the hypertrophy template again and I realise that I should focus on weight loss, with a target weight between 85 and 90 kg (current 220 lb ~ 100 kg).

What should my training look like assuming that I am on a pretty long-term weight loss course? I realize that I need a decent amount of volume, but since I have already ran the hypertrophy template multiple times, I am at a bit of a loss…

You don’t necessarily need to change the programming significantly if you’ve done well on those templates. The more important factor is establishing a calorie deficit to get your waist circumference down.
