Training Static Strength at Specific Angles

Hello everyone.

This question is going to sound weird and irrelevant to anything but I promise it is. I do armwrestling as a sport which means I need strong elbow flexion. I therefore do a lot of static holds. My question is, if I want to get really strong at keeping my bicep angle almost completely locked (30% between humerus and radius) is it beneficial to train my bicep statically at a 90 degree angle (it’s easier to train it at 90% since gravity pulls straight down)? Basically, is there good carryover from doing 90 degree static holds to ~30% holds?

Thank you. Please ask me if anything is unclear.

I’m not sure there would be great carry over there, but probably some because you’re still training the biceps. I’d probably work in a more specific joint angle and contraction type, e.g. isometric, if I was trying to train for this.
