Training with a cold

Hi,
how do you guys approach training sessions when you have cold symtoms? Do you have go lighter or do you hit an extra amount of caffeine and still try to go as heavy aspreviously planed? Nutrition wise, is it smart to get some extra calories in order to compensate for the fact that the immune system hast to work harder?

Most of our programming is autoregulated (based on RPE prescriptions), which allows you to adjust the dose of stress as needed for these situations. Sometimes you will surprise yourself and still be able to lift as heavy as you previously planned, other times you won’t. In the big picture, it won’t make a huge difference.
