Web App for Programming?

Hello BBM community,

I’m curious what people would think of a web app that would allow lifters and coaches to easily design training blocks. You could also share programming with clients or just log training directly (although writing programming is the primary feature). I haven’t been able to find any good software to write programming online. It would be great to write programming, send it to clients, and log training all in one place online. I know RTS has some good tools on their site for block reviews and other analyses, but they don’t have anything for program design.

One thing I would like to know is how people currently go about designing training plans. I’m not sure if people would care to use a new app like this or if they would continue to write training as they currently do. If spreadsheets are the primary medium by which people write programming, I think a web app is a better option. A well-designed web app would be far more user-friendly for both coach and lifter and offer more opportunities for adding features to the service.

Please let me know how you feel about this idea. I want to get some market insight before I dive headfirst into developing the thing. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you for your time, best of luck with your training everyone!

I was hoping BBM would have an app for their sold program blocks by now. At very least for the beginner program and/or Bridge.

Many novice/intermediate lifters, including myself, are heading back to the gym post-COVID vaccine. I was hoping for a “fresh start” with the app tied to the beginner program.

Agree that an app would be far superior.

We agree that it’s a good idea, so good in fact that the BBM app is currently in beta testing. Look for more details soon!
