12 Week Press Template: is bench press required?

I can’t bench press because of some very unspecific pain around my left shoulder, bicep and forearm. The pain starts almost immediately when the sets and reps are challenging enough to cause any training effect.

I was thinking about bying the 12 Week Press Template because overhead pressing doesn’t hurt my arm, but I don’t know if the bench press is mandatory for that program.
If the 12 Week Program doesn’t require bench pressing then I might try it out, but I need to know first.
