Bridge v3 after PB1?

Hello BBM,
Many thanks for all the great work!
Another “which programme” question. Apologies!

  • I’ve just finished PB1 and moving to more strength focussed programs
  • I train for health, previously did the beginner’s template, GS&C, BB1 block 1, PB1
  • I want to try to improve (maximal) strength
  • I plateaued somewhat during PB1
  • I bought Bridge v3 some time ago but never actually ran it
  • Is there any disadvantage to doing it now?

I could run Strength I for example, but since I bought the Bridge v3 I’d like to make the most of it (unless I’m really better off spending those ten weeks with something else).

Best wishes and thanks in advance,
Antonio

Hey Antonio,

The Bridge v3.0 would be fine right now, especially because you already have it. Let us know how it goes and good luck!

Great, thanks. Follow up question if you don’t mind (more for my learning):
Looks like I’d be missing some upper body pulls given the programme. Is this right?

If so, I could do e.g.:

  • Pull-ups on GPP 1
  • Some form of horizontal rows (barbell, one-arm, seated) on GPP 2
  • Add the horizontal row on e.g. day 1 (with pull-ups on GPP days)

Or would the rack pulls mostly cover the horizontal pull?

Regards,
Antonio

I would not add any additional exercises to the program at this point. You are correct that none of the 9 slots are rows, however the upper back work in the GPP should be sufficient for this application. I would do 1 of the GPP days with a vertical-ish pull and and the other one with a horizontal-ish one. Hit em hard and be done with them on GPP days.

Great, many thanks for the advice. I will do that then.
Antonio
