Hey guys,
Just got back from holiday for 5 days and i didnt get to train at all. My regular training protocol is strength 1 split up into 4 days so the following:
Monday: Squat/TnG Bench
Tuesday: Rest
Wednesday: Comp Bench/2ct Deads
Thursday: GPP
Friday: Comp Deads/Beltless Squats
Saturday: 2ct Squats/2ct Bench/OHP
Sunday: Rest
I just did Squat TnG on Friday and today (Sunday) i did Comp Bench/2ct Deads. How can i program this next week to start back from a monday. I was thinking i could just add a rest day between every training day like this.
Monday: Rest
Tuesday: Comp Deads/Beltless Squats
Wednesday: Rest
Thursday: GPP
Friday: Rest
Saturday: 2ct Squats/2ct Bench/OHP
Sunday: Rest
And then restart from monday.
What do you guys think?
I’d just start the week normally on Tuesday, though if you had to start on Monday, that’s fine too. If you I have no issues with you doing the additional sessions back-to-back-to-back-to-back. It just doesn’t really matter in this situation.
If it were me, I probably would have done my normal Friday and Saturday session upon returning from the vacation and then rolled right into the next week. Again though, this matters very little that I don’t think there’s going to be a difference in what you do.
I dont understand what you mean by doing the additional training sessions back to back. Do you mean doing all 6 traning sessions in the week?
No, I am not suggesting training 6x this week. I’m saying that if you have to lift on Monday after previously doing those two workouts, I have no issues with you not having rest days if that’s the only way your schedule works. If you have more free time as your post suggests, I’d just do your normal week starting on Tuesday.
