How to read sets and reps

I realize this is probably a stupid question, but here it comes anyway…

In the bridge pdf, the sets and reps (and RPE) are written as follows:

7 reps @ 6, 7 reps @ 7, 7 reps @ 8 x 2 sets

Now, does this mean:

7 reps @ 6 x 2 sets, 7 reps @ 7 x 2 sets, 7 reps @ 8 x 2 sets

or a kind of wave loading pattern, like:

7 reps @ 6 x 1 set, 7 reps @ 7 x 1 set, 7 reps @ 8 x 1 sets

which is then repeated one more time

7 reps @ 6 x 1 set, 7 reps @ 7 x 1 set, 7 reps @ 8 x 1 sets

Would appreciate a clarification…

I figured this out AFTER I completed the Bridge. I actually did all those extra sets (and I ain’t mad)
