Hi Jordan and Austin, I’m Luigi Garofalo, 2 weeks ago I was having fun with week 5 of phase 3 of the beginner template. I planned a week off for holidays and then to resume with equal weights or slight discharge, however during the holidays I remedied a chest contusion. I did an ultrasound myself and I found a small crack of the seventh right rib 2 cm laterally to the medioscapular line. In the first days it was impossible for me to train, strangely I tolerate chin up and running, but everything that involves a Valsalva maneuver was not within my reach. Now the pain is coming back and within a week I should be able to resume with the barbell. After this stop that cumulatively will be about 15 18 days how do you advise me to resume training? Thanks for the post. Sorry to hear about the injury, but happy to hear you’re getting better. I’d favor starting phase II of the beginner template for your comeback. Should be a good way to get your feet wet and who knows, it may work for a good chunk of time.
