Lunges in the Beginner Template

Hi guys,

I don’t have access to a leg press machine at the moment, so I’m doing lunges in the second phase of the Beginner Template – sets of 10. I presume that’s 10 reps for each leg. Do you do the 20 lunges in one set, or break it up into two sets – one set of 10 for each leg?

Doing 20 lunges in one set, is a lot of work!

By the way, Thanks for the great information you put out. It’s changed so many of my ideas about exercising – and all for the better.

Yep, we’d recommend trying to do them in a single set, with enough break to get repositioned between sides when doing stuff like split squats, bulgarian split squats, etc.

do you mean 10 left lunges, then reposition, then 10 right lunges?

If you’re doing split squats, then yes. If you’re doing lunges, I’d do them alternating each side each rep.
