Generally, what is the recommended minimum time to take between training sessions? Say I’m on a 3x a week program that has me doing 3 supplemental lifts on Day 3 after doing competition lifts on Days 1 and 2. If I train Day 2 this afternoon, is tomorrow morning too early to train Day 3 effectively? Then, I would take Sunday off and plan to get back to the standard MWF rotation punctuated by GPP days. Obviously better to train than not, any specific recommendations in cases where life gets in the way and standard rest days are not possible between sessions?
You are on the right track. The key is to get the training in, optimal or not. So in this case, you’ll do your day three and then be back to a more “normal” schedule. I think most of us who have been training for awhile have had times when we train late one night and then earlier in the day the following day. It happens. If you’re assessing your training with RPE, you’ll be fine.
