Hi Barbell Medicine Crew,
I am planning to start your 4 day strength template next week and have had good success with it in the past. This will be my third time going through this program after rotating through this one and your hypertrophy template. My goal now is to focus on strength and am curious if you think that it would be best to modify the 4 day template by adding a set to the already prescribed backoff sets, if I should do an addition set at a high intensity (like two sets of 1 @8 instead of 1), or if I should run the program as written and move on to a more advanced strength program following this one? I just finished the hypertrophy template as written plus one back off set and thought that this worked well for a program focused on hypertrophy but I am not sure that this method will be as effective for one with a strength focus.
