Muscle Soreness question

Back to the question, how often should individuals experience DOMS?

I think a good training program should produce delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS) fairly infrequently, save for the 1st week or so if there are new exercises and/or if someone is new to exercise.

After that, maybe a few times a month, if that.
