Not enough plates for 1@8

Hello,

I have a basic home gym setup in my garage for squats, bench and deadlift, however, I don’t have enough plates to do my 1@8 for deadlifts. Is there anything I can do instead if my goal is to increase 1RM strength? For reference, I have 177kg in plates and am currently able to lift this for 5@8, my singles last block were around 200-210kg.

You’d have to find other ways to make the lift more challenging or increase the resistance.

For example, adding resistance bands and/or training deficit deadlifts or other variants might be examples of ways to work around this issue until/unless you’re able to acquire more weight.
