Patellofemoral pain syndrome, gel injections, and working out

Hello,

I have been giddy to get back into training in the gym again. The issue is I have been procrastinating for like 3 years on issues with patellofemoral pain syndrome that I want to get fixed this year. I think I will need gel injections, but I do not know when I will get them. I know I will probably have to take a couple of days away from training to heal a little bit. I think the best thing is to start training and then take a break around my gel injection. Thoughts? Or only train upper body when I cannot squat or deadlift?

We would not recommend this procedure for your knees. Since this is not scheduled and is unlikely to require more than a few days away from regular-ish training, I don’t think it needs any special guidance.
