Peaking Template

I’m currently running The Bridge 1.0 and just decided to run the peaking template once I’m done in order to test my 1RM’s (and to continue to milk BBM for free stuff, as Jordan would say). According to my calendar, test day would be December 21.

I just started lifting in May 2018 and I think testing my 1RMs will help to keep me motivated and give me a cool reference point to compare myself to in the future, even though peaking may not be “optimal” for me in driving improvements. I’m planning to do the 3-day Hypertrophy template after that and I’m thinking about doing an actual Powerlifting meet in late 2019 (haven’t decided for sure yet, but it sounds like a lot of fun).

Does anyone else have plans for running the new peaking templates?

I have my first meet in 6 weeks, I’m tempted to replace the last 3 weeks of training with the “Advanced Fast” peaking template, since it seems to describe the type of lifter I am pretty well. I think keeping the volume up a little longer going into the meet could help me, but I’m taking a gamble since I’ve never tried it before!
