Powerlifting II Questions

  1. What would be the best way to replace the overload squat with? I don’t have any of the equipment needed, but are the benefits big enough to make an investment?
  2. Same issues with the overload bench I don’t have any of the equipment, therefore the question is will floor pressing 2x a week lead to less progress compared to for example bench w/bands & floor press?he template calls for Comp bench, Floor press, TnG, Overload Bench.

  1. I would just do squat without belt then. I can’t tell you that any of the implements are guaranteed to be worth it, but I do think a set of bands and/or chains would be useful.
  2. I would just do towel bench (roll up towel, place under shirt, bench with it) like a board press.

Again, I can’t say for sure that one variation is better than another for you prior to you doing it.
