Programming between closish Meets

Happy New Year BBM.

I am doing Strength I (definitely learning some things from this program) going into my first meet in February.

Next meet is 6 weeks after and I am thinking of running the last 6 weeks of Strength 1 again to prepare.
This means if I count back from Week 13 I start in week 8 which is the first specialization block, but miss the low stress week.

Having never done this before, I have no idea how stressful a meet might be.

Should I start at week 7, then skip week 8 or 9? Just go at 8? Play it by ear? Take up knitting instead?

What are you doing now for training?

Currently doing Strength 1 timed so the Feb Meet is Day 3 of Week 13

Oh I see, there’s a second meet 6 weeks out from the first. To be honest, I’d just run the first 6 weeks of the program, take 3 days off before the meet and then go into it as is. It’s really hard to do 2 meets in a row 6 weeks apart.
