Hi Guys!
Recently I have purchased a few of the templates, so first things first, thank you very much! I enjoy both the podcast and regular articles you all put out!
Ill keep this short, as I know you will probably have a lot on and a lot of similarly ‘novice’ level questions to frustrate you.
I’m wondering how I would go about ‘planning’ a whole year based on your templates. As it stands I have the hypertrophy, 12 week strength and Bridge 2.0
Further information below;
I have never ran SS,
Im around 85kg - 6ft 4 - 26 YO Male
(I intend to put on some weight!)
Current lifts are as follows:
Bench ~90-95kg for 3-4 reps
Deadlift ~160-165kg for 2-3 reps
Squat ~150kg for 1-2 reps
OHP ~60-65kg for 3-4 reps
I have never really tested anything below a 3RM for anything bar squats (And that was a month or so ago!) so in terms of actual 1RM’s I don’t have many im afraid. Im coming off of a general style bodybuilding routine, where strength was not the main focus. With this in mind I was looking at doing something like Bridge 2.0 > GPP Hypertrophy > Strength and then rerunning the strength a second time after the peak week. (As from what I’ve read it seems to be that you should only have 1-2 hypertrophy blocks a year) Though if you’d prefer I buy another template (Say your HLM or something) let me know!!
This is the first time I’ve really done anything like this and both yourselves and Andy Baker have been instrumental in changing my outlook and actually ‘planning’ out a years worth of training with an end goal in mind, which is to compete in my first meet!
If you need any more information please just hit me back! (And if this is the wrong forum please feel free to move it, I did not know if it belonged in here or in the training discussions section!)
Best regards
Kyle
