Hello! If you have enough weight to use with DBs to provide that training stress that will get you to the RPE listed in the rep range suggested, that is totally fine. The split squat is variation that can provide something “different” when training at home, but as it’s unilateral, it also requires LESS added weight to get you to the higher RPE.
