Starting a cold? No just the day after lifting.

I am a few weeks in to the Beginner Prescription and love it. I was doing SS before, but after about six weeks my form started to suffer by trying to crank it to 10 every single set and I ended up with terrible butt wink in the squat, and a sore back which kept dragging down my deadlift numbers. With the Beginner Prescription, it seems the variations in Reps from the beginning are really improving my form on squats and dead-lifts. Thank you.

For the past couple weeks. the day after every heavy squat and every heavy deadlift day (rep ranges around 4), I have a head cold starting. To the point that my noose is running, I am blowing my noose quite a bit, my throat feels scratchy, and I even feel a little malaise. It is the exact same feeling I have when I start a cold. Then, the next day I wake up feeling great and all the symptoms are gone.

I am sure some of this could be psychosomatic, but the blowing of my noose seems to be more than just a physiological symptom.

I am 100% not worried about this. Just curious. Is this a common reaction to a moderately hard day of training?

Glad you’re enjoying the program!

This is not a typical response, no – not sure what it is.
