T2 pain

I have experienced different back issues over the years. Recently, in the last 3 months, I have experienced pain on my T2 vertebrae. Feels like a bruised bone, or burning/pinching sensation. It’s more prominent when I flex/use my rhomboid major and shrug my traps. Also, as I turn my head. Also hurts to the touch on that vertebrae.

I’ve gotten an MRI and was negative with soft tissue damage. It did show scoliosis with convex on the left side and concave on the right. My chiropractor took xrays to confirm. He says it appears that I was born with it b/c of a wedge vertebrae and it has gotten worse to the point I’m feeling that now. He’s been adjusting to try and get it functional again. Hasn’t gotten better over the last few weeks and really gets inflamed after an adjustment. I try to get relief with myofascial release but no luck.

I do train CrossFit and have trained for over a decade. I’m passionate about it and am able to train through it. Some days are better than others. I took time off and the inflammation would improve but doesnt go away.

I am inquiring to see if anyone has dealt with these symptoms specifically and what I can do.

Hi there,

Unfortunately it is difficult to provide individualized advice in this situation based on the information presented here alone. The thread will be open in case anyone else has experiences they’d like to share, but our rehab team would be happy to consult with you in order to get more information and provide guidance. These consultations can be obtained through the website.

I had this sensation for years on my T7-T8, and they told me is due to my scoliosis which ok you never know if it is a correct explanation. My MRI also showed thoracic disc hernia etc. Back then you could only get help from the forums and they were not rehab templates online. BBM saved my life. If you can, go for with the rehab team. If you can not try to accumulate knowledge from them/podcasts etc and go carefully by yourself and maybe a knowledgable physio in your location.

if you search scoliosis, thoracic hernia, bulges etc in this forum you will see my posts from years ago.
