Why this change in the 12 week template from V1 to V2?

I’m almost done with the 12 week V.1 template and it has worked well for me…so thank you. I plan to run the new 4 day Hypertrophy template next and then run the new version 2 12 week Strength template after that one.

QUESTION: Why did you guys decide to pair up Comp DL and Comp Bench in version 2 of the 12 week template?? (V1 pairs Comp Squat with Comp Bench day 1 and then for Day 2 pairs Comp DL and Comp Press).

I love Comp DL …it’s my favorite lift but it taxes me more than the other lifts… so to follow Comp DL with Comp Bench (a lift I struggle with progressing already) doesn’t seem optimal for me to develop on the Bench.

Just curious, why you made the change? Did you see training results that suggested it’s a better pairing? Not intuitive to me…

We did it so folks could pair Press with the squat to save time and because we felt like the intraworkout fatigue before bench press was about the same from the squat or deadlift to the bench press. You could move it if you like, but people are getting about the same results with either, depending on personal preferences.
