Program modifications around vacation

Hi Docs,

I am on a rerun of Strength I and I have a backpacking trip scheduled in a few weeks for when Week 13 would normally happen. I really want to try my maxes to see how much I progressed. I can get it done before the trip if I take one day breaks inbetween Days 3 and 1 to get it done faster but I am already feeling some fatigue when I train. I can also just have an extra week between 12 and 13, but am worried about de-training. Would you do any program modifications like rerunning a couple of the weeks, or just go for it after the trip? The trips will have eight miles of backpacking a day for four days.

I would plan on testing before the trip, running the last two weeks of the template for the last two weeks before your trip and testing that final week. Let me know how it goes!
