Slightly torn hand callus

Hi BBM,

I slightly tore my callus next to the little finger on my left hand during deadlifts today (It actually happend on my second back-off set of 80% e1RM x 3 reps and not on my top set). The callus isn’t completely off my hand, though half of my skin there is unattached.

Is there anything special I should know about how to deal with this in my next workouts? Do I need to cover it up somehow or should I just keep training normally and deal with the pain, or would this make it worse with heavy deadlifts again next week and other pulling movements?

Nothing special outside of making adjustments based on your tolerance. In the future, keeping calluses trimmed down is helpful to avoid this issue of them tearing.
