Hi
I’m just coming off the SSLP and have decided to run The Bridge 3.0; I also play touch rugby 2-3 times a week (and have done for 18 months or so) and wanted to ask: is it sufficient to simply swap out the GPP days with training/matches specific to touch rugby?
More specifically, would you expect neglecting the GPP component and replacing it with essentially 40-60 minutes of relatively high intensity cardio 2-3 times a week to have a negative impact on the rest of my training? I.e. it would be reasonable to suggest that not training chin ups etc will impact my ability to do chin ups etc, but is it likely to affect my progress/performance in the major lifts?
I could do GPP as well as my sports specific training, but ideally I’d have some days off in there somewhere.
Thanks and keep up the good work!
Best wishes,
Alistair
