Trap pain from mixed grip?

Hey everyone,

So since I introduced a mixed grip in the conventional deadlift, I’ve had a persistent pain in my left mid trap area (my left hand is prone to the barbell when I pull). The pain isn’t severe, and I don’t notice it mid-session, but it spikes later when I pull the shoulder blade back for whatever reason. Does anyone have any experience with this?

The pain doesn’t occur on the right side when I switch up the grip (but pulling with the switched grip is awkward), and the pain hasn’t occured when I used mixed grip with sumos (yup, I’m one of those guys) in the past.

I just started the Bridge and after rack pulling yesterday, the pain has flared up again, despite workout 1 of week 1 being low in volume and intensity.

It’s probably something that will just go away but I’m curious if anyone else has encountered this problem.
