Anyone have thoughts on adding a session of some powercleans/snatces to GPP endurance? Was thinking would look like the normal 6 days BUT:
Mon- squat/press/cleans
Tues- short interval work
Wed- dead/bench/pullups
Thur- Dist run
Fri - squat/bench/chinups
Sat - long interval work
Basically, sub out one day worth of the GPP volume for the back. I picked monday just because squat volume is lower that day, and I dunno about doing cleans the same day as deadlift, I’m sure it would work though.
Jordan has said before that the weight one usually cleans is so much lower than, say, deadlift working weight, that it doesn’t really constitute enough stress to interfere so much with the rest of training/drive long term adaptation.
IF cleans/snatches are something one wants to see improved, why not practice applying the strength you’re gaining in the deadlift to an explosive movement. Thats my thought.
Im just curious, because I like cleaning, and i like to pretend one day I’ll do a WL meet, probably after that one day I do a PL meet.
On another note, I’m not going to spend ~$30 on a program just to find out how BBM programs Oly stuff, but I’d assume a single at 8 and then back of doubles/triples at 8? maybe more sets. Like 4 to 6 set range? Thats my guess, would appreciate if someone came forward with that info, though.
