Sports Participation and GPP

I was curious, as some who regularly plays ice hockey and other sports during the week as well as training in the gym, if participation counts as a type of GPP - does high intensity shifts in hockey, for instance equate to HIIT training, or is the action required for each sport too specific to be considered ‘general’. I still do my density chins and ab wheel in the gym, but sometimes miss out on the rower or bike if I know I’m playing later that day or the next.

Yes, I’d “count” that as part of your GPP work.
