Analysis Paralysis - 42 yo

Hello!

Perhaps same question as most of the questions

I am 42M and currently running the Bridge 2.0. I love that is 8 weeks (due to work, I can’t follow longer cycles, so I might break after 9 or 10 week as natural deload). I love the volume and fact it fits my home gym perfectly. I did slight modification replacing mid pulls with RDLs.

Now - I would like to buy a program to support BBM and tried to download some free samples, however it is difficult to judge if I will like program or not. The Quiz is suggesting the PB1, however I am not sure if this would fit my goals.

About me:
Running 3 times per week - up to 5K km. Nothing competitive, but GPP is sorted out.
Working out 3 times per week - my goal is to gradually get stronger. Started lifting at 40 with no previous experience.

Goals:
Running is my way to improve VO2MAX and potentially take care about heart.
Resistance training - I would like to be stronger, not necessarily bulked, but I would like to look I am actually strong.

Any advices? Thank you in advance!

Mono,

Thanks for joining the forum. I’d probably favor the Low Fatigue General Strength and Conditioning program based on your goals and current fitness level. PB 1 would work as well, but I have concerns that the powerlifting-focus isn’t as well aligned.

I have also bought General Strength and Conditioning 1 program and as you said Jordan, that is even better suited to my needs. What I love about it is volume and less focus on squatting. Also reps ranges I like more.

Since I have two programs now I can plan the blocks

Love to hear it. Let me know how it goes!
